The Wales Veterans’ Football Association are delighted to host the inaugural North Wales v South Wales veterans’ play-off final...between Hawarden Rangers and Llanelli Town at Latham Park in Newtown on August 31st 2025. Hawarden secured the North East Wales Veterans’ o35s Premier League title whilst Llanelli lifted the Wales Veterans’ FA o40s Premier League title.
This fixture, which has been sometime in the planning, will showcase the very best of veterans’ football from both the north and south of the country and in doing so, help to develop the veterans football community throughout Wales. We would like to thank our sponsor, Jon Ross, from WorkwearSupermarket.com, the North East Wales Football Association who have helped us stage this fixture and special guest, FAW Vice president and long-time supporter of veterans’ football, Mark Adams, who will be presenting the trophy.
We wish both teams the best of luck and hope the game will be played in the spirit associated with veterans’ football...but, whatever the result, this is an historic occasion for veterans’ football in Wales.
