Neil was an influential figure associated with Swansea University Veterans Football, where he has been recognized for his foundational role and ongoing dedication to veterans' football in the region. He is credited as the primary inspiration behind the club's formal Code of Conduct, establishing the core ethos that veteran players should actively "give something back to the game".
He received a WVFA Welsh cap for playing Representative football across the UK and Europe and he will be sorely missed by everyone within the Wales Veterans’ Football community.
John Salmon, Pontyclun Vets
Neil had been living with dementia recently, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
He worked in Panasonic in Cardiff for about 35 years and he was a passionate Cardiff city fan. He will be sorely missed by his teammates and everyone within the Wales Veterans’ Football Association would like to pass on their condolences to his friends and family and especially his wife, son and daughter with whom he dedicated a lot of his time.
