Llanelli complete League & Cup double!!

12th May – Cup Final
Llanelli Town 6, Penybont 0
An emphatic win for the West Walians against a depleted Penybont at Leckwith Campus. Neil Williams set the tone with an early goal and Simon Rocke made it 2-0 at the break. Although Penybont were defiant, they tired in the sweltering conditions and Rocke arrowed his second to make the game safe for the Reds. Simon Rogers entered the fray and made an immediate impact with his pace and directness and scored two goals in quick succession. Neil Williams completed the scoring with his second minutes before the final whistle. Congratulations to secretary, Neil Bryant and manager, John Taylor who lifted the o50s WorkwearSupermarket.com CUP and in doing so, completed the League and cup double for the 2023/24 season.

28th April

A great win for Penybont at Pencoed with an Andrew Davies hat-trick and a brace for Vince Lewis easing them past last year’s beaten finalist, Swansea and into the final against current cup holders, Llanelli Town on May 12th. Swansea scorers were Webb, Fredrickson and Kennedy.

The Continental 2, Llanelli Town 3
This was an entertaining game, well-officiated, between two good sides at Eastern High. The hosts scored an early goal through Summers. The visitors however, took a lead into the interval with strikes by Rocke and Legg. Thompson put the hosts back on level terms but, inevitably, Neil ‘Willie’ Williams, scored the winner to take last year’s cup winners through to this year's final on 12th May against Penybont.
