The Wales Veterans' Football Association sent a Wales o45s Representative squad to La Manga in Spain to play THREE matches against local opposition and they completed the tour unbeaten...writes Manager, Paul ‘Ricky’ Richards....

In the first match against AD Trinidad Vets, the hosts started strongly and enjoyed most of the early possession. Keeper, Jonathan Howe made a great save and it was still scoreless going into the break. Wales took the lead in the second half with an Alun Williams screamer from 30 yards. The Spanish equalised but within minutes Bannon made it 2-1.

Wales recorded an excellent 3-2 win in their second match against Internacional Cartagena, with Sam Brown, Damien Daniels and Alun Williams, again, on target.

In their third, and final, game against a tough Naval Deportivo team the match ebbed and flowed but Wales edged a 4-3 win with goals by Rhys Llewellyn , Sam Brown, Paul Keddle and Ben Bannon.

Manager, Richards commented “I'm really pleased with the performances in all three games and to end the tour unbeaten is a real achievement.”
