Wales o75s to face England in Newmarket!

By Alun Huish

Wales o75s will face England o75s at the Tristel Global Stadium in Newmarket on 26th November 2025 @ 2pm ko

The Wales Veterans' Football Association have accepted an invitation from England Veterans FA to send an o75s squad to face their World Cup runners-up at the The Tristel Global Stadium, in Newmarket on 26th November 2025.

In the inaugural o75s international at St George’s Park in 2023, England won convincingly and then defeated Wales on penalties in the o75s World Cup Final in Cardiff last year! Although Wales partly exorcised those defeats with an emphatic 4-0 win at Dragon Park in April this year, the Welsh lost out in the o75s World Cup semi-final in October....so everything is to play for and the teams will, once again, be playing for the ‘Nye’ Bevan Trophy....with the Welsh management and players determined to retain the trophy and bring it back to Wales.

Congratulations to the players who have been selected by the Welsh management team of Tim Bowker, Dave Eveleigh and former Cardiff City legend, Jimmy Mullins.....
