By Alun Huish

5-7 June 2026 @ Scotland FA National Centre, Largs.

The Wales Veterans' Football Association accepted an invitation from Scotland Veterans’ Football, to take part in the 2026 o50s Home Nations Tournament, in Largs National Sports Centre in Inverclyde and although they won their first two matches, a defeat to England meant the men in White lifted the Four Nations crown....

A fine 2-1 win in their first match against the hosts, Scotland, saw Llanelli’s Kev Bartley grab a brace. In the other game, England defeated N Ireland 5-2 with two goals from Mark Bellingham, two from Stafford Browne and an own goal.

In the second match Wales beat N Ireland 4-0, with Ricky John, Neil Williams, Paul Davey
and Rob Taylor on the scoresheet. England defeated Scotland 3-1 through a Bellingham hat-trick.

Sadly, injuries took their toll, as they often do in these tournaments, and in the big showdown on the final day, a debilitated Wales were beaten in their final match against England, 2-0, who scored through Bellingham and a Browne penalty.

The Welsh lads did their country proud with manager, Andrew York saying “the boys were brilliant to be fair, and we will be even better next year!”
