The Wales Veterans' Football Association invited the England o55s squad to the Ocean Park Arena in Cardiff to play an international match against Wales and two goals in the last 10 minutes by the visitors secured victory....writes Manager, John Jones....
In the o55s first real test since retaining the 2025 Four Nations trophy last September in London, Wales were full of confidence going into the match. The game was tight affair throughout with little between the two teams, but England were were much better in possession and we just gave the ball away too much. As a result, we had to chase more and expended more energy and in the second half we had noticeably tired! As the game drew to its conclusion, England tapped in from a late free-kick and then well into injury-time scored a second at the far post, to give them a slightly flattering 2-0 victory.
Congratulations to the players who were selected by manager, John Jones
