Vacancy: WVFA Over 50s Manager

The Wales Veterans' Football Association are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and committed Manager for our Over 50s International Team.

The Wales Veterans' Football Association are offering an exciting opportunity to become part of the Wales Veterans management structure and help develop the team both on and off the pitch as we continue to build towards future international fixtures and the Four Nations Veterans Tournament.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the Over 50s team, working closely with the WVFA Directors of Football and the wider WVFA management team.
Responsibilities will include:
• Selecting and developing a competitive Wales Veterans o50s squad.
• Organising and overseeing training sessions and preparation for matches.
• Selecting teams and managing match-day squads.
• Developing a positive, professional and inclusive team environment.
• Maintaining clear communication with players and management.
You will be expected to Work within the rules, regulations and management structure of the WVFA Wales. Supporting the development and progression of players coming through the Veterans age groups.
• Working closely with coaches, medical staff and other members of the management team.
• Preparing the team for international fixtures, tournaments and representative matches.
• Representing Wales Veterans in a professional manner at all times.

• has previous football management or coaching experience and preferably UEFA Coaching badges
• understands the demands of managing experienced veteran players.
• can demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
• is organised, reliable and committed.
• can make difficult decisions fairly and professionally.
• is prepared to work as part of a management team rather than independently.
• has the ability to motivate players and create a strong team spirit.
• shares the ambition of developing Wales Veterans football.
• is willing to follow the agreed WVFA rules, regulations and structure.

Our Expectations
The Wales Veterans Over 50s team represents Wales, and therefore the role carries responsibility both on and off the pitch. The successful applicant will be expected to uphold the standards, values and reputation of the Wales Veterans’ Football Association and work collaboratively with the Committee and management team.
