The Wales Veterans' Football Association were delighted to accept an invitation from the Wales Combined Armed Services to send a Wales o40s squad to face their o35s squad at the Leckwith Campus, Cardiff.
Manager, Laurence Owen was pleased to report "an emphatic victory against a younger squad, which included fine performances from debutants Lewis James and Brian Camilleri and an excellent return to the fold, after an absence of 2 seasons, for Barry Town's Gavin Beddard." Beddard scored a double hat-trick, whilst Sam Brown (2), Nathan Williams. Matt Hughes and Mark Dunne were also on target for Owen’s squad, who now take their 2 and a half years unbeaten record into the final fixture of this season against Coate Vets at Swindon Town’s County ground on May 13th.
